Travelling by Air

For those guests travelling by Air the nearest airport is Salzburg, around one hour by road. There are numerous low cost carriers flying regular services into Salzburg at excellent rates. Ryanair and AirBerlin operates flights from Stansted direct to Salzburg. British Airways operates from London Gatwick to Salzburg and London Heathrow to Munich. Easyjet operates from London Gatwick to Salzburg or Innsbruck and Manchester to Munich which is convenient for Maria Alm with a transfer time of Approx. 2 1/2 hours.

The price depends on your party size and arrival airport, but would be around £35 to £75 per person for the return trip from Salzburg, Innsbruck or Munich. Travelling by car from the UK

Follow the motorway network from Calais and passing via Munich enter Austria on the Salzburg autobahn. Exiting at Seigsdorf or Salzburg and head in the direction of Zell am See to the town of Saalfelden. There turn left and head towards Hintertal for 5km. On reaching Maria Alm turn left to the centre of the village, again turn left at the village square before Hotel Moserwirt crossing over the small bridge and following the road to the left. The Chalet is 300-400 metres further along on the right.
